Crispano – A sixteen-year-old Neapolitan boy was arrested by the State Police on charges of attempted murder after stabbing a peer following an attack that, according to investigations, was motivated by jealousy.
Officers from the Afragola and Frattamaggiore police stations responded to the San Giovanni di Dio hospital after a report of a young man with a knife wound arrived at the emergency room.
The victim, who was treated by paramedics, had wounds to his wrist and side.
The victim's story
According to what was reported to investigators, the boy was approached by the sixteen-year-old while he was near the entrance to the Villa Comunale in Crispano.
The alleged attacker arrived on a scooter and, after a brief confrontation, pulled out a knife and stabbed the boy before driving away.
The investigations launched immediately by the police allowed them to identify and track down the alleged perpetrator of the attack, already known to the police due to a criminal record.
According to investigators, the episode was based on jealousy.
Today, following the validation hearing, the judicial authorities ordered the sixteen-year-old to be held in pre-trial detention. He remains under investigation for attempted murder.

It's a sad episode, but the movement isn't clear; the young people should speak out before it reaches this extreme. The police appear to have done their job; however, questions remain about family and social contexts that aren't being properly investigated; perhaps there's a lack of prevention.
