Naples – A family argument over money quickly escalated into a full-blown home invasion. It happened late yesterday afternoon in an apartment on Corso Vittorio Emanuele, where a 17-year-old boy was reported at large by the Carabinieri Radiomobile Unit for extortion and assault against his mother.
According to the reconstruction, the minor began demanding money from the woman without providing any plausible explanation. When she refused, the request became increasingly insistent until it escalated into violence. The young man allegedly grabbed his mother and threatened her to get what he was demanding.
The woman, already distressed by similar incidents in the past, was saved by her screams, which alerted neighbors. Someone, hearing the screams coming from the house, decided to dial the emergency number 112. The timely notification allowed the police to intervene before the situation could escalate further.
When the patrol arrived, the 17-year-old was stopped and identified. He was reported at large to the Public Prosecutor's Office at the Juvenile Court. The mother, although shocked, did not suffer serious physical injuries.

It seems like a sad story to me, but we don't know everything, and the boy seems to be asking for money without saying why. His mother tried to stop him, but it wasn't enough. Neighbors called 112, and the emergency services arrived, but psychological help will probably be needed for everyone.
