State Police raided the Porta Nolana area. This morning, officers from the Vicaria-Mercato police station arrested a 19-year-old Neapolitan man on charges of illegal possession of narcotics for the purpose of trafficking.
The operation took place during routine patrols in the Mercato neighborhood, an area frequently monitored by law enforcement to combat drug trafficking.
The suspicious exchange in Vico Pergola in Nolana
While passing through Vico Pergola in Nolana, the police officers noticed a young man acting suspiciously. The 19-year-old approached a mailbox and removed a package.
Immediately afterward, he handed something to another person in exchange for a banknote. The latter, upon receiving the item, quickly disappeared without a trace.
The scene did not escape the attention of the officers, who intervened immediately to stop the alleged pusher.
The search and seizure of drugs
Once caught and arrested, the young man was subjected to a search. Officers found 20 packages of hashish on him, weighing a total of approximately 32 grams, as well as €160 in cash, divided into various denominations, believed to be the proceeds of drug dealing.
In light of the findings, the 19-year-old was arrested by the State Police and handed over to the judicial authorities. The drugs and cash were seized.

It seems to me that the police intervention was predictable given the neighborhood. But it is important that the police act to combat drug dealing. However, there should also be more prevention and social support for young people who often end up on the streets without alternatives. Let's hope that the situation improves.
I don't know exactly what to say, the news seems normal to me but it's worrying, every time the police pass by something happens, the boy perhaps had personal problems or maybe he's just a juvenile pusher, the checks are useful but there's also a need for social help and educational paths that aren't coming much, the situation remains complex
