San Marco Evangelista – Entrepreneur in trouble, provincial police operation.
As part of their territorial control and monitoring activities to combat environmental crimes, the Caserta Provincial Police have identified a legitimate company in the municipality of San Marco Evalgelista.
From the investigations, conducted by the men coordinated by Colonel Biagio Chiariello who availed himself of the assistance of the provincial environmental office and of Arpac, it emerged that the company was authorised to treat iron and plastic but in reality was illegally carrying out the assembly of machinery.
Plastic bottle collection machine. Illegal repair and assembly of plastic bottle collection machines (eco-compactors) without the necessary permits and qualifications.
In several locations, waste such as used batteries, oil, plastic, and other types of waste were found, disposed of illegally and without any proper forms or records.
There are also safety issues, the documentation of which is being examined by investigators, and it would appear that the technician certified non-existent requirements.
During the checks, several illegal workers were identified and fined approximately 6 euros.
Upon completion of the operation, the farm, which operated in a warehouse measuring approximately 800 square meters, was seized and the owner of the farm, a woman, was charged with illegal waste disposal, with a report sent to the Public Prosecutor's Office of Santa Maria Capua Vetere. Administrative violations amounting to over €12 were also alleged.
Meanwhile, checks will continue in the coming days in the Land of Fires to combat any form of illegal activity in the 104 municipalities under its jurisdiction.

It seems like a serious and worrying situation for the area and public health, but the news describes it confusingly; controls should be stricter. Why so much illegal work? The owner, either male or female, doesn't have the correct paperwork or qualifications, and the waste is disposed of without forms and registers; all of this worries citizens.
