Naples – A routine patrol on the Naples ring road turned into yet another operation to crack down on the irregular waste disposal industry. In recent days, officers from the Fuorigrotta Traffic Police Subsection spotted and stopped a van that was struggling to move, visibly weighed down by a load that far exceeded the permitted gross vehicle weight.
The driver of the vehicle was a fifty-year-old man from Quarto. During the document check, the situation immediately became clear: the driver was unable to show officers any transportation documents or the mandatory materials identification form. The man was moving waste from demolition and construction activities in complete disregard of environmental regulations.
The weight of the violation and the seizure
To get a clear picture of the irregularity, the police escorted the vehicle to the weighbridge. The result left no room for doubt: the van was carrying a net waste load of 943 kilograms, significantly exceeding the tolerance limit for that type of truck.
The patrols then decided to conduct further investigations, cross-referencing the data with the Control Room dedicated to combating environmental crimes in the Land of Fires. The investigation revealed that the fifty-year-old was completely unknown to the National Register of Environmental Managers, lacking any legal qualifications for the management and movement of hazardous waste.
The offender was immediately charged and released. The consequences, however, were not limited to criminal law: the police immediately confiscated his driving license and vehicle registration document, while the truck and its entire load of aggregates were placed under preventive seizure to prevent a repeat offense.

It seems to me that it was a strange thing, the van was going too hard and the man seemed confused, he didn't throw away the documents or the required forms, the refusals were many and not registered, the weight showed 943 kg, but the controllers should be more severe and more frequent.
