Naples – Despite the heavy arsenal and drug haul found in his home, twenty-year-old Christian Farina is returning home. This is the decision of the Naples investigating judge, who, in validating his arrest, granted the request of his defense attorney, Giuseppe Milazzo, granting the young man house arrest without the use of an electronic bracelet.

The raid in the Bisignano district

The operation began at dawn on Wednesday, when officers from the Naples Police Headquarters' Flying Squad raided the twenty-year-old's apartment, located in the heart of the Bisignano district. The operation was no accident: a confidential tip had identified Farina's home as a possible weapons depot for the dominant clans in the Barra area.

The search confirmed the investigators' suspicions. Inside a closet, the officers discovered:

A pistol with the serial number erased, already loaded and ready for use (round in the chamber);

57 9×21 caliber cartridges;

Approximately 337 grams of ketamine, divided into seven packages ready to be placed on the drug market.

The criminal legacy and the fear of investigators

Christian Farina isn't considered an ordinary figure. According to investigative reports, the young man is the designated heir to Raffaele Giordano, who was in charge of managing the illicit businesses in the Barra neighborhood.

Investigators fear that the seized material is just the tip of the iceberg of a larger arsenal and that the young man's continued presence at his home, without electronic surveillance, may allow him to maintain active contact with the "hermanitos," the gang of young men spreading terror in the eastern region.

Barra: The Escalation of the Very Young

Farina's arrest shines a spotlight on an increasingly alarming reality: Barra is dominated by "baby bosses" barely over 18. Law enforcement is monitoring this phenomenon closely, attempting to stem a criminal rise characterized by unscrupulousness and a rapid generational turnover at the top of drug dealing centers and territorial control.
