The legal case involving a San Martino Valle Caudina businessman accused of irregularities in the payment of excise duties on energy products has ended in an acquittal. The Civitavecchia Court has ruled that ST, 32, represented by Vittorio Fucci, is not in court.
The indictment accused the entrepreneur of evading excise duty payments on a shipment of 23.760 kilograms of lubricating oils, transported from Spain in collusion with another person. According to the investigation, the material was moved without proof of tax payment by the recipient company.
Also involved in the proceedings was FB, the driver of a company vehicle linked to the entrepreneur. According to the initial reconstruction, the two allegedly transferred the cargo of lubricating oils destined for a company that was not registered with the Customs Office and was not classified as a tax warehouse, a circumstance that led to the alleged excise duty evasion charges.
However, after examining the case documents, the Court of Civitavecchia ruled that there were no grounds for pursuing criminal proceedings against the entrepreneur. Therefore, it decided to dismiss the case, effectively upholding the defense's position put forward by lawyer Vittorio Fucci. The legal proceedings thus concluded with the acquittal of the Irpinia entrepreneur, putting an end to the charges related to the transport of the shipment of lubricating oils from Spain.
