A silhouette on the roof in the silence of dawn triggered a Carabinieri search in Castellammare di Stabia. This unusual presence on the yacht club's rooftop terrace, initially difficult to interpret, turned out to be an attempted robbery.
It was still early when a Carabinieri patrol car was patrolling the area of the municipal park. The area was practically deserted, and the officers' gaze was drawn to a man moving on the roof of the structure. At that point, the Carabinieri stopped and got out of the car to determine what was happening. For a few moments, the incident seemed ambiguous: it could have been a desperate act or a protest.
Upon reaching the rooftop, however, the situation immediately became clearer. On site, officers found Salvatore Raimo, 43, a local resident already known to law enforcement. He was in possession of some copper pipes recently removed from the air conditioning units installed on the yacht club's roof.
The recovered material, approximately three kilos of copper, had just been removed from the structures when the Carabinieri intervened. The 43-year-old was arrested and charged with theft. After his arrest, he was placed at the disposal of the judicial authorities and is now awaiting trial.

At first, the scene seemed strange, then people thought it was a protest or a desperate act; but it was an attempted robbery. The Carabinieri intervened and found the copper, about 3 kilos, and the man was arrested. The area was practically deserted and few people had noticed, so everything remained ambiguous and with few explanations.
