The Naples Police Headquarters continues to conduct extraordinary checks to curb drug trafficking and the illegal possession of weapons. Yesterday afternoon, in Cimitile, the State Police arrested a 39-year-old man and a 40-year-old woman, both residents of the city, on charges of illegal possession of narcotics for the purpose of trafficking. According to investigators, the man had a criminal record, including specific convictions.
Control in the home
The operation was conducted by officers from the Nola Police Station as part of a targeted local operation. During the search of the couple's home, officers found three packages of cocaine weighing approximately 115 grams.
Also found in the house were precision scales, material used for packaging drugs, and €30 in cash, divided into banknotes of various denominations, which investigators believe to be consistent with drug dealing.
Cameras on external premises
During their investigation, officers also discovered a DVR system connected to multiple cameras installed to monitor the home's exterior. This, according to investigators, could indicate a monitoring system used to monitor movements around the house.
The couple's arrest
Following the investigation, the husband and wife were arrested by State Police personnel. Their position remains under judicial review, while further investigations into the context in which the illegal activity allegedly took place continue.
