Four illegal workers were discovered and several irregularities were discovered among businesses and restaurants in the province of Benevento. This is the result of inspections conducted by the Guardia di Finanza of the Sannio provincial command as part of their investigations into undeclared work.
Since the beginning of the year, the Guardia di Finanza (Fiamme Gialle) has conducted nine inspections of companies operating in the province. The checks uncovered four employees whose employment had not been declared. One of the operations was carried out by officers from the Benevento unit at a business in San Leucio del Sannio.
During the inspection, it was discovered that one employee was working without the required social security coverage, while the employment contract of another worker was denied. In the same establishment, the presence of a video surveillance system installed without the required authorizations was also discovered, resulting in an administrative fine of €512,25.
The investigations also involved two restaurants in the Sannio capital. In both cases, the financial police criticized the failure to track employee salary payments, which were found to be paid in cash rather than through permitted methods such as bank transfers, checks, or payment cards.
During inspections at one of the two locations, the installation of a video surveillance system without the required authorization was also discovered. For this violation, an administrative fine of €3.720,58 was imposed. These activities are part of the efforts to combat undeclared work and irregularities in the labor market, with the aim of protecting workers and ensuring fair competition between businesses.

I think it's fair that checks be carried out, but the methods and reasons are not clearly explained. The Guardia di Finanza has found illegal workers and also fines for unauthorized video surveillance. Wages paid in cash create employment problems and unfair competition.
It's right that they carry out checks but I can't understand how it still happens, there are companies that work illegally and pay employees in cash without social security coverage, video surveillance without authorization, fines are there but perhaps they don't have enough weight to stop these abuses. Let's hope things change soon.
