The extraordinary territorial control operations deployed by the State Police in Frattamaggiore to prevent and repress all forms of illegality continue. Yesterday, officers from the Frattamaggiore Police Station intensified their presence in the area, conducting targeted checkpoints and spot checks on the town's main roads and sensitive areas.
119 people identified, 40 with criminal records
During the operation, law enforcement officers identified a total of 119 individuals, 40 of whom had prior criminal records. The checks focused primarily on individuals already reported to the databases for property crimes, drug dealing, and firearms violations, verifying their legal status and identifying any further criminal activity.
Vehicle checks and administrative seizures
At the same time, officers conducted checks on 58 cars and motorcycles, uncovering irregularities that led to the administrative seizure of two vehicles for serious violations of the Highway Code. In other cases, less serious irregularities were reported, which were nevertheless punishable by fines.
Seven violations and over 2.300 euros in fines
During the checks, seven violations of the Highway Code were reported, including driving without a license, lack of insurance coverage, failure to have a periodic vehicle inspection, failure to present vehicle registration documents, and failure to wear a protective helmet. The administrative fines imposed total €2.387, which will be collected through the standard channels established by law.
Monitoring of restrictive measures
As part of the same operation, officers paid particular attention to verifying restrictive measures and alternative measures to detention. Sixteen individuals subject to these measures were checked to verify compliance with the provisions imposed by the judicial authorities and to ensure that no dangerous situations or illegal activities were occurring. All checks revealed consistent compliance with the provisions.
Prevention and reassurance messages
The operation, part of routine territorial control services, aims to strengthen the sense of security among citizens and deter potential illegal behavior. The State Police assures that this type of patrol will be repeated regularly, with particular attention to the most sensitive areas and during times of day with the highest traffic volumes.

Useful report but lacks information on how the checkpoints are chosen and whether proportionality has been assessed. Furthermore, it is not clear whether the fines were given for non-compliance or due to bureaucratic problems. I would like more clarity and documentation.
I think it's a good thing that there are more checks, but I don't understand all the numbers written: 119 people and 40 with criminal records. It seems like a lot, but perhaps they're from years ago, not updated. Let's hope the checks serve for security and not just for fines.
