Giugliano – An unusual detergent, with a powerful "narcotic" effect. This is what the Carabinieri of the Giugliano branch discovered during a drug check yesterday afternoon. The operation led to the arrest of a 36-year-old local man, charged with possession of narcotics for the purpose of trafficking.
The discovery in the laundry
The officers, suspicious of the constant comings and goings at the man's home, decided to enter the house. The house appeared tidy, but the Carabinieri decided to proceed with a thorough room-by-room search. It was during the inspection of the laundry room that the alarm was triggered.
Over 2,5 kilos of drugs ready for sale
Upon opening a cabinet, the officers initially noticed standard bottles of fabric softener and detergent. However, hidden behind them were three plastic bags. Their contents were far from what one would expect in a laundromat: in the first, 185 grams of marijuana; in the second, 13 blocks of hashish, weighing a total of 1.35 kilograms.
In the third bag, vacuum-packed, there was another kilo or so of marijuana, ready to be divided into doses.
The perfect drug dealer's kit
The search also seized everything needed to package the drugs: precision scales, cutting materials, and a vacuum packing machine, essential for preserving the substance and eliminating odors.
In a bedroom drawer, the officers also found €5.220 in cash, believed to be the proceeds of the illegal activity.
At the end of the operation, there was nothing that could be done for the 36-year-old. He was arrested and taken to the local jail, where he remains at the disposal of the judicial authorities pending a validation hearing. He will face charges of possession of narcotics for the purpose of trafficking.

Very strange case. Apparently the house was tidy, but behind the detergent bottles there were different things. The police did a search and found lots of envelopes and money. Was there no one else there? I don't know how people didn't see the comings and goings; it all seems very suspicious. Arrested? I'm waiting for the facts.
