From March 13th to 27th, the Sala Grande of the Casa del Combattente – a historic building overlooking the Trieste seafront and a symbol of the city of Salerno’s identity – will host the solo exhibition The Scream, the Canvas and the Light by Salerno artist Nadia Leo, already the protagonist of our cultural insights.

With this event, the artist marks another important milestone in her creative journey, oriented toward Introspective Realism: a pursuit that places technique at the service of restrained emotion and focuses on self-examination. The exhibition is curated by Angelina E. Di Gennaro I. and is part of the broader Limenart project, an organization that promotes local artists year-round.

On the opening night, visitors will experience the exhibition's sensorial expansion. On Friday, March 13, the artistic journey into Introspective Realism will culminate in a multidisciplinary performance, also inspired by the curator's creativity. At 22:00 PM, Elisabetta Fermo's video projections, Valentina del Regno's monologue, and Francesca Napoli's dance—freely inspired by the context and accompanied by Mattia Spagnuolo's sound design—will create a true immersion into the meaning of Nadia Leo's art: an emotional journey centered on the sign as truth, as a gesture that delves and reveals.

The audience will witness the transition from silence to the scream of the Banshee, an iconic creature from Celtic mythology who, refusing to hide, will unleash all her power. A symbol of emancipation and self-determination.

Closing the circle will be the ritual of the Red Envelopes, the moment in which the curator will deliver to the artists the thoughts expressed by visitors: words as a gesture of gratitude, destined to remain in the memory of those who have brought art to life and palpable through emotion. An act that reaffirms the observer's active participation in the creative process.

In the month traditionally dedicated to women, their strength, and reflections on the female condition, Nadia Leo's solo exhibition takes a significant place in the city's cultural landscape. The Scream, the Canvas and the Light, in fact, is art that speaks of women when they choose to transform silence into presence, when they seek truth and give form to repressed emotion. In this journey, art becomes light: revelation and possibility, affirmation of identity and awareness.
