Naples – Carabinieri officers from the Napoli Stella Company conducted a high-impact operation in the Porta Capuana area, a historic gateway to the city's historic center, which has long been a focus of attention for degradation, petty crime, and illegal commercial activity. Streets and people: 79 individuals identified, 44 vehicles searched.

This morning, the police conducted a massive search of the area: 79 people were identified and 44 vehicles were checked. The traffic investigation revealed 13 traffic violations, for a total fine of approximately €13.000. Two vehicles were seized.

Among those stopped on the street, a 63-year-old man stands out. According to Carabinieri, he should have been under house arrest. He was immediately reported for evading arrest, an incident that demonstrates how these services are not only aimed at traffic management, but also at ensuring compliance with precautionary measures ordered by judicial authorities.

Checks on commercial activities: irregularities and seizures

The operation wasn't limited to the streets. The Carabinieri, along with staff from the Naples Central Health Authority (ASL 1 Centro), inspected two public establishments in the area. In Piazza Duca degli Abruzzi, inside a bar, four administrative violations and a €2.000 fine were found.

Of particular concern was the discovery of 5 kilograms of frozen food in poor condition: the product was seized for health and hygiene reasons.

In Vico Campagnari, a restaurant has come under scrutiny: the owner has been issued 11 warnings for structural, hygiene, and documentation deficiencies. In this case, too, the joint intervention aimed to ensure minimum food safety standards and compliance with labor regulations.
