Officers, led by Colonel Biagio Chiariello, conducted an inspection inside a warehouse used for waste management activities. During the inspections, they discovered violations of the environmental permit, specifically regarding the exceeding of permitted waste quantities.
Workers without contracts and attempted escape
During the inspection, several workers were also identified as being employed without proper contracts. Upon seeing the officers, some of them attempted to leave the area, but were immediately stopped and identified by law enforcement.
The operation resulted in administrative fines of approximately 10 euros, the inspection of 12 vehicles, and the identification of a total of 52 people.
A complaint and risk suspension of activity
Following the investigation, a person was reported to the Public Prosecutor's Office at the Court of Santa Maria Capua Vetere for violations of environmental regulations.
Following the irregularities found, administrative proceedings will also be initiated to suspend the company's operating license.
Environmental controls on the territory have been intensified
The intervention is part of the extraordinary enforcement program against environmental crimes that the Province of Caserta is strengthening throughout the region. The activity is part of the operational guidelines issued by Provincial President Anacleto Colombiano, aimed at combating irregularities in waste management and undeclared work.

It is right that they carry out checks, but it seems to me that the management was done with little clarity, certain details remain obscure and workers without contracts should not have been there, 10 thousand euro fine and the suspension perhaps seems exaggerated.
