Pimonte – A true domestic nightmare, filled with daily harassment, beatings, and humiliation, all played out before the terrified eyes of her minor son. This is the dramatic incident uncovered by the Carabinieri of the Pimonte station, who on March 13th put an end to the violence by arresting a 37-year-old local man.
At the request of the Public Prosecutor's Office, the investigating judge of the Torre Annunziata Court ordered the man to be placed under house arrest on very serious charges: domestic abuse, aggravated by the presence of his minor child and his intoxication due to drug use.
A two-year nightmare
According to investigators, the woman had been forced to endure an impossible lifestyle since 2022. Arguments at home had become a daily occurrence, often exacerbated by the man's drug addiction, which escalated into episodes of brutal violence.
The investigation paints a chilling picture: during one of his many assaults, the 37-year-old allegedly pushed his wife against a stove and then bit her repeatedly. In another violent outburst, he didn't hesitate to forcefully hit her with a frying pan.
Quick investigations thanks to chats and testimonials
The intervention of the Carabinieri was crucial in preventing the situation from escalating further. The investigation, launched immediately and coordinated by the Oplonti Prosecutor's Office, relied on testimonies from those who knew the couple, the victim's dramatic account, and analysis of the chats exchanged on their phones.
These elements allowed us to gather "serious evidence of guilt" and to quickly secure the precautionary measure, averting the risk that the man could repeat the crimes.
Electronic bracelet and isolation
After the usual formalities at the police station, the 37-year-old was admitted to his parents' home, where he will be placed under house arrest. To ensure he never comes near his wife again, the judges placed an electronic bracelet on him. Furthermore, the suspect was strictly prohibited from using any telephone or computer system, effectively isolating him from any possible external contact.

I read the news and it seems like a terrible thing, but I can't judge with certainty; the authorities have done their job. I hoped the woman had gotten help sooner, but the neighbors haven't said enough; it seems no one saw or heard. Let's hope justice is done soon.
I read the news and it all seems very serious, but I don't know what to say: the woman had been coerced for years and her minor son saw everything; the police intervened, but perhaps the judicial system should do more to protect them. I don't know if the bracelet is enough, and let's hope peace is restored.
