Illegal weapons, bulletproof vests, balaclavas, and even counterfeit banknotes. These are what the Salerno Flying Squad found in the possession of RG, who was arrested on charges of illegal possession of weapons, illegal possession of ammunition, receiving stolen goods, possession of counterfeit money, and possession of objects intended to offend.

The man was arrested following a personal and house search conducted by State Police officers, who uncovered a veritable arsenal stored in the home.

Four pistols and dozens of cartridges

During the checks, investigators seized four guns. These included a .357 Magnum revolver with the serial number erased, a .22 caliber semi-automatic pistol, and two blank-firing pistols, replicas of the Beretta 85 FS and the Beretta 84, both modified and made suitable for firing.

A total of 77 illegally held cartridges of various calibers were recovered.

Bulletproof vests, balaclavas, and drug paraphernalia

The search also uncovered two bulletproof vests belonging to a security company, a balaclava, a plastic bag containing cocaine residue, and two precision scales, items that investigators are now evaluating as part of their investigation.

Among the seized items was a homemade truncheon with a metal shaft.
A thousand counterfeit euros and a stolen scooter

During the operation, the officers also found ten counterfeit 100 euro notes, for a total of one thousand counterfeit euros.

Finally, a stolen scooter was seized, further aggravating the suspect's situation.
Investigations are continuing to ascertain the origin of the weapons and other materials found.
