Seriously injured, the 34-year-old was rescued and rushed to the Ospedale del Mare, where he died shortly thereafter from his injuries. According to what emerged in the first hours following the attack, De Marco had a history of dealing with law enforcement.

Hunt for those responsible
The State Police are currently investigating the murder. Officers from the Ponticelli police station and the Naples Police Headquarters' Flying Squad responded to the scene, reconstructing the circumstances of the attack and verifying any possible links to local criminal organizations.

I read the news this morning, the matter seems very serious to me but the details are unclear, it says that he had a previous conviction but this certainly doesn't prove guilt, the nearby school is worried and the residents are confused; the police should investigate immediately and clarify the connections with the criminal context, they expect truth and certainty.
