Naples – On Wednesday evening, officers from the State Police Flying Squad made the provisional arrest for the purpose of surrender of a 40-year-old Romanian man, the subject of a European Arrest Warrant issued by Romanian authorities. The arrest concerns drug-related offenses.
After tracking him down in the Naples area, the police verified that the foreigner was indeed the recipient of the warrant and subsequently arrested him. The man was placed in provisional custody and will later be handed over to Romanian authorities to answer for the alleged crimes.
37-year-old Peruvian woman arrested on international warrant
The following evening, officers from the Pianura Police Station captured a 37-year-old Peruvian woman, the subject of an international arrest warrant issued by Peruvian authorities. The charge also relates to drugs.
After being located, the woman was arrested and taken to the police station, where the warrant was verified. The arrested woman was also placed in provisional custody pending extradition to her country of origin.
Strengthening international cooperation
The two operations demonstrate the effectiveness of international cooperation in the fight against drug trafficking. The Italian State Police emphasized the importance of networking between Italian and foreign authorities, aimed at identifying and capturing individuals on the run or subject to restrictive measures.

It seems like a normal story to me, but many things don't add up; international cooperation appears effective, but the proceedings seem slow and confusing. The two foreigners were arrested, but afterward the documents were unclear, and the magistrates should make decisions more quickly.
