Tense moments erupted this evening in Calvizzano, where the Carabinieri intervened at the "Villa Jonia" emergency reception center following a report from 118. The alarm concerned a fight between non-EU citizens that had broken out inside the facility.

The injury during the fight
According to an initial reconstruction, still being examined by investigators, shortly before the arrival of the Carabinieri, a man not present at the facility attacked a 26-year-old Egyptian resident.
During the argument, the attacker allegedly pulled out a small knife, stabbing the young man in the arm, and then quickly ran away without a trace.
Transport to hospital
The 26-year-old was treated by emergency medical personnel and transferred to the emergency room at San Giuliano Hospital in Giugliano. His condition is not considered serious.
The Carabinieri are investigating the incident, trying to reconstruct the exact circumstances of the attack and identify the man who injured the young man before fleeing. The investigation is still ongoing.
