Over the past weekend, the State Police intensified checks in the lively nightlife area of Mergellina, between the chalets and Largo Sermoneta, to ensure safety and public order. Officers from the Office of General Prevention and Public Rescue, supported by the Local Police, combed the area, paying particular attention to people and vehicles.
214 individuals and 37 cars identified
The operation led to the identification of 214 people, including 30 with police records, and the inspecting of 37 vehicles. This extensive effort monitored the area, known for its evening crowds of young people and tourists.
Four complaints: repeat offenders and resistance
During the checks, three individuals were reported for resuming illegal parking, despite previous reports. A fourth individual responded by insulting and resisting a public official, also landing in trouble.

I read the article and thought the checks were necessary, but they also seemed a bit excessive. The officers combed the area and identified 214 people, but it's unclear why some were reported. There's still confusion and imperfect organization.
