It was a tense night in Curti, in the province of Caserta. Carabinieri from the Santa Maria Capua Vetere Mobile Radio Unit responded to a bar on Via Vittorio Veneto following a violent argument reported to 112, which resulted in threats to the owner and damage to the front door.

The fight breaks out due to alcohol and provocations

It all started around midnight between a 31-year-old man from Santa Maria Capua Vetere and a 42-year-old man from Caserta, both visibly intoxicated. The argument, which began inside the bar, quickly escalated despite the owner's intervention, who asked the two to leave to restore calm.

Threats and damage: the owner calls for help

Instead of calming down, the two assailants attacked the owner with verbal threats and broke down the front door. Realizing that the bartender had already alerted the Carabinieri, one of the two fled on foot, while the other was apprehended on the spot by the Carabinieri.

Damage reports: investigations underway

The fugitive was identified shortly thereafter, and both men, charged with criminal damage, are awaiting the judicial authorities' assessment, which was informed by the relevant unit. No injuries were reported, but the incident has reignited alarm over nightlife in the Caserta area.
