Further deficiencies also emerged in terms of hygiene and sanitary conditions, which were deemed inadequate to prevent the spread of hospital infections.
The sentence
Following the technical assessment and in the absence of a settlement agreement, a trial on the merits was initiated, limited to quantifying the damages. The proceedings concluded with a ruling in favor of the family, who were awarded significant compensation.
