NAPLES – Caught while selling drugs to several buyers, she attempted to flee at the sight of officers but was caught and arrested. The incident occurred yesterday evening near Porta Capuana, where State Police arrested a 23-year-old woman of Moroccan origin, with a criminal record, on charges of illegal possession of narcotics for the purpose of trafficking.

The operation was carried out by officers from the Vicaria-Mercato Police Station, engaged in targeted control operations to combat drug dealing in the area. During their observation, the officers observed the young woman making several drug sales to customers who quickly approached her, then walked away after the exchange.

After the raid, the 23-year-old attempted to evade detection by fleeing through the neighborhood streets, but was apprehended shortly thereafter. When searched, she was found in possession of four packages containing cocaine and crack, as well as €40 in cash in various denominations, believed to be the proceeds of the illegal activity.

One of the buyers was stopped and found with the newly purchased dose. He was issued an administrative report for possession of narcotics for personal use. The arrest is part of intensified enforcement operations in the historic center to curb the phenomenon of retail drug dealing, which is particularly prevalent in high-traffic areas.
