The hideout in the garden
The search, which covered the entire outdoor area, yielded a positive result when officers focused on a drainage ditch covered by a plastic crate filled with old vases. Inside, they found:
A package containing approximately 11 grams of cocaine;
45 doses of crack already vacuum-packed (47 grams total);
The cash sum of 250 euros was seized because it was believed to be the proceeds of the illegal activity.
The man was transferred to prison awaiting trial, while the drugs were seized for routine analysis.
The kidnapping in Nola
That same evening, anti-drug operations also extended to the Nola area. In this case, Carabinieri officers from the local Operations Unit searched the hamlet of Piazzolla. On a piece of farmland adjacent to the road, officers located a plastic container camouflaged among the vegetation. Inside, 63 packages of cocaine were hidden, presumably abandoned by the dealers for later "remote" delivery to avoid direct risks during the checks.
