Caserta – For approximately two years, a girl allegedly harassed a peer with aggressive behavior, threats, insults, and discriminatory acts, even involving physical assault. For this, a 14-year-old girl from Caserta was issued a warning by the Police Chief, notified by the State Police.
According to investigators' reconstruction, the young woman allegedly engaged in a series of bullying incidents against another minor. The harassing behavior occurred both in person and online, with harassing messages and behavior that, over time, created a climate of intense pressure on the victim.
Minor injuries and severe anxiety for the victim
On some occasions, the intimidation reportedly escalated into physical assaults, resulting in injuries believed to heal within a few days. However, beyond the physical damage, the incidents reportedly had more profound psychological consequences.
The targeted girl, in fact, would have developed a state of anxiety and fear, such as to put her emotional balance and mental well-being at risk.
In the end, the minor decided to ask for help by contacting the police.
The warning of the Police Commissioner
After conducting the necessary investigations, the officers summoned the alleged perpetrator of the bullying incidents to the police headquarters, along with one of her parents. There, they were served with a warning from the Police Commissioner, an administrative measure used in cases of stalking, with the aim of promptly stopping violent or threatening behavior.
The fourteen-year-old was also recommended to undergo rehabilitation at a specialized center, where she will be supported by a team of psychologists and educators.
