Caserta – On the night between April 9th and 10th, officers from the Caserta Company's Mobile Radio Section arrested a 46-year-old woman from San Nicola la Strada, already known to law enforcement for previous drug-related convictions.
The operation was triggered during a territorial control operation: the Carabinieri noticed the woman lurking suspiciously near a well-known meeting point in the city center and decided to proceed with a personal and vehicle search on their own initiative.
During the search, the woman was found in possession of approximately 3 grams of crack cocaine and 1 gram of cocaine, already divided into doses ready for sale. A subsequent search of her home yielded an additional 0,25 grams of cocaine, a precision electronic scale, and various packaging materials (sachets, tape, paper scraps). All the illicit material was immediately seized.
Following the formal procedures, the 46-year-old was placed under house arrest pending a summary hearing, which will be held in the coming days at the Santa Maria Capua Vetere Courthouse.
The operation is part of a broader plan to combat drug dealing implemented by the Provincial Command of the Carabinieri of Caserta, aimed at ensuring the safety of citizens and interrupting drug distribution chains in the area.
