Naples – The statements of informer Eduardo Fiorentino Mammoliti are also included in the arrest warrant that prosecutor Sergio Raimondi of the Anti-Mafia Directorate (DDA) signed with deputy prosecutor Sergio Amato against Francescoscopio Autieri, the 23-year-old believed to be responsible for the murder of Fabio Ascione, which occurred near Topolino Park in Ponticelli on the night of April 7.

On April 10, the repentant man himself wanted to speak via video conference with prosecutor Raimondi, in the presence of his lawyer, to recount what he had learned about the murder.

Mammoliti: "He showed the gun to describe the clash with the Volla boys."

"Ascione died on the morning of April 7th," the informer stated in his statement. "...he told me what he learned from ..., who had immediately gone to the scene to inquire about the incident." According to the account, the gunfight did not occur in front of the "Bar Lively," as initially assumed, but in the "Topolino" buildings, near the sports field on Via Rossi Doria.

The dynamics: from firefight to tragedy

Shortly before the crime, Autiero and an accomplice, KV, allegedly exchanged fire with several youths from Volla, who had arrived on the scene in a dark T-Roc. Among them was AA, the son of a Camorra member of the Rea-Veneruso clan. After the fight, the two allegedly encountered Fabio Ascione and another youth near the sports field.

Here, tragedy struck. Autiero, high on adrenaline from the recent confrontation, reportedly began miming the action: "They were bragging about having fired a shot just before," Mammoliti explains, "and Autiero was waving the gun in his hand. A bullet accidentally went off, hitting Fabio, killing him."

The escape and the photos of the capture

The collaborator's story goes further, touching on the suspect's family's cover-up attempts. Autiero's stepfather initially confided to ... that he had "lost" his stepson, only to double down the next day, assuring them that the boy would never be caught. This period of hiding was, however, interrupted by the prosecutor's swift investigation.

Then there were the statements of two young men present at the time of the shooting, who confirmed everything the informer said. On the same day as the informer's statements, the Carabinieri had gone to Francesco Autieri's house looking for...
I couldn't find him. His mother told the police that he had been "away from home for a few days already." Naturally, his phone was turned off.

These elements, combined with other testimonies gathered on the ground and the unwitting confessions recorded through wiretaps at the barracks and in the cars of the summoned youths, have helped close the loop on the alleged killer of a boy who had nothing to do with the clan's logic.

I don't know how to say it, but the story seems strange. There seem to be many versions, and justice must proceed slowly to avoid making mistakes. However, people are demanding truth and punishment, and the boy's family seems destroyed and confused.
