This September, Foodist Istanbul will bring together the entire international food supply chain at the Tüyap Fair and Congress Center, creating a strategic meeting point for key industry players at one of the region's leading B2B food events.

Istanbul, Türkiye —The international fair Foodist Istanbul, dedicated to food and beverage products, will be held from September 1 to 4, 2026, at the Tüyap Fair and Congress Center in Istanbul, bringing together international buyers, producers, exporters, and key industry players in a single venue. Organized by Tüyap Fairs and Exhibitions Organization Inc. in collaboration with ALZ Fair, the event aims to promote the Turkish food industry on a global scale, while also fostering the development of new business relationships and strengthening connections between various international markets.

«As international demand for food products continues to grow, Foodist Istanbul strengthens its role as a strategic hub connecting Turkey's dynamic food industry to global markets.», said İlhan Ersözlü, General Manager of Tüyap Fairs Production Inc.

He then added: «Thanks to a solid institutional support, a wide participation of international buyers and a clear ambition to position itself among the main food fairs at global level, the event is rapidly establishing itself as a strategic platform for international trade and collaboration between operators in the sector.».

With the support of major industry organizations

Foodist Istanbul stands out as the only trade fair directly supported by industry organizations, demonstrating strong alignment among all stakeholders in the supply chain. With the support of the Turkish Exporters Assembly, the Cereals, Pulses, Oilseeds, and Derivatives Sector Council, all Exporters' Associations, the Federation of Turkish Food and Beverage Industry Associations, and the Out-of-Home Suppliers Association, the event aims to increase the international visibility of Turkish food products and brands.

Thanks to the partnership between Tüyap Fairs and Exhibitions Organization Inc. and ALZ Fair, the event combines international trade fair expertise with strong national industry networks. This synergy supports the event's strategic ambition to rank among the top three food fairs in the world, cementing Istanbul as a hub for global food trade.

In addition to widespread participation, the fair will also host select delegations of buyers from 20 strategic countries, creating concrete and targeted opportunities for exporters interested in establishing new business partnerships.

The event will attract operators from the Balkans, Europe, the Middle East, the Gulf countries, Africa, the CIS countries, Central Asia, the Turkic Republics, the Far East and the Americas.

Meeting between producers and global markets

Foodist Istanbul It attracts a highly qualified and targeted audience, allowing exhibitors to interact directly with buyers who have a concrete impact on purchasing decisions and distribution dynamics in various markets.

By bringing together the entire food supply chain in a single location, Foodist Istanbul fosters the development of new business partnerships, export agreements, and brand collaborations. The event also offers companies the opportunity to showcase new products, identify emerging trends, and strengthen long-term business relationships.

The Foodist Istanbul calendar also offers significant strategic advantages for exporters in planning their annual production and shipping cycles. Orders received during the fair allow companies to begin production between October and November, in line with production schedules for the final quarter of the year. This timing also allows for shipments to be organized as early as December, ready for delivery at the beginning of the new year.

A particularly important aspect is that this planning allows exporters to take advantage of the opportunities offered by zero-duty quotas in January and February, when many international markets open new import quotas. By positioning itself at the start of the autumn trading season, Foodist Istanbul thus allows companies to secure early orders and strengthen their competitive advantage in global markets.

I share some concerns; it seems to me that the fair could offer opportunities but also create burdens for micro and small businesses that lack an export network. It would be helpful to know if there are any support, financing, or facilitation programs for foreign participants.

Interesting news, but also a bit confusing; it seems Foodist wants to be big and connect many markets, but it doesn't fully explain how small producers will face costs, bureaucracy, and logistics issues. The dates are helpful, but there's no information on shipping, duties, and priority partners.
