A day to celebrate the music, legacy, and soul of an artist who forever changed the face of global clubbing. On Sunday, May 3rd, starting at 10:00 a.m., the enchanting setting of Rama Beach will host "For Frankie," the official tribute event dedicated to Frankie Knuckles, universally recognized as the "Father of House Music."
The initiative, curated by Angels Of Love in collaboration with the Frankie Knuckles Foundation, is not just a musical celebration, but a concrete support project for the Foundation's activities, aimed at honoring the cultural and human legacy left by the Chicago artist.
The heavyweights of the world scene
The "For Frankie" lineup brings together giants of the international house scene, linked to Knuckles by artistic journeys and decades-long friendships. At the forefront is David Morales, legendary Grammy-winning DJ and producer. Morales, who has shared an entire life and professional journey with Frankie, is renowned for transforming pop into club hits with over 500 remixes for icons like Michael Jackson, Madonna, and U2.
He'll be joined by Marshall Jefferson, another pillar of Chicago House. The creator of timeless anthems like "Move Your Body," Jefferson, along with Knuckles, paved the way for modern dancefloor music.
Iconic voices and long-awaited debuts
The event will also mark the Naples debut of Celeda, the unmistakable voice behind house music staples like "Music Is The Answer." The lyrics to this hit perfectly reflect Frankie's vision: music as a universal answer and a collective embrace.
Lenny Fontana, the keeper of the Sound Factory Bar's warmth and producer of hits like "Chocolate Sensation," will be coming from New York. The international lineup will be rounded out by the debut of Elbert Phillips' Angels of Love, a longtime resident at Frankie's Chicago nights. The day's soundtrack will be enhanced by the talents of Neapolitan DJs from the AOL Crew: DJ Simi, DJ Fiore, JG Bros, and Dapuleo.
An event for all generations
"For Frankie" was conceived as an open and inclusive gathering. The day will begin in the morning to engage multiple generations of enthusiasts. To underscore the family-friendly nature of the initiative, admission will be free for children up to 13 years old.
The organizers have set up a protected Kids' Area, allowing parents to enjoy the event, the sea, and the Street Food areas in complete peace.
