Naples – A breakthrough has been reached in the investigation into the shooting that occurred on April 1st in Piazza Carolina, in the heart of Naples, just meters from the Prefecture. Overnight, the State Police arrested 19-year-old Remato Elia, who is considered seriously suspected of shooting and wounding a minor.

The victim, surprised by the gunman's action, would have had no chance to defend himself.
The boy was rescued and taken to the hospital, where doctors managed to save him despite the injuries he sustained to his legs.

The investigation, coordinated by the District Anti-Mafia Directorate and conducted by investigators from the Flying Squad, led to the identification of the alleged perpetrator within a few days.
