Naples: A 20-year-old from the province of Avellino was arrested yesterday evening on charges of assaulting a public official and reckless evasion, following a chase along Via Posillipo, in the heart of the hilly district of Naples.

It all started when officers from the Office of General Prevention and Public Rescue, carrying out their usual patrols, noticed a car with the young man inside. Upon seeing the officers, the boy stepped on the accelerator, deliberately ignoring the order to stop.
The block and the arrest
A brief but frantic chase ensued, after which officers managed to catch up with and apprehend the fugitive, not without difficulty. It was discovered that the young man was driving with a suspended license, a violation that resulted in a further traffic violation. The suspect was arrested and turned over to the judicial authorities.
