The Carabinieri of the Mondragone Territorial Unit have executed an order for the application of coercive measures against seven people, held responsible, to varying degrees and according to the preliminary investigations, for the possession for the purpose of dealing and trafficking of narcotics.
The order, issued by the investigating judge of the Court of Santa Maria Capua Vetere at the request of the Public Prosecutor's Office, concludes a complex investigative effort lasting approximately four months. The investigation uncovered numerous incidents of cocaine and crack distribution and identified the alleged responsibilities of those involved.
Precautionary measures
Specifically, one of the suspects was remanded in custody, while three others were placed under house arrest. A fifth person was ordered to remain in the municipality of Mondragone, while two others were required to report to the judicial police.
According to the findings of the investigation conducted by the Carabinieri, dozens of narcotics sales were documented during the investigation. This evidence allowed investigators to charge the suspects, jointly, with running a drug dealing operation, specifically involving cocaine and crack.
As required by law, the presumption of innocence of the accused remains in effect until a final sentence is reached.
