Naples – The echo of sirens and the roar of the tactical raid gave way, this evening, to the silence of the investigative work. The sensational robbery committed at the Credit Agricole branch in Piazza Medaglie d'Oro is no longer just a news story, but a complex legal case involving the heads of the Prosecutor's Office and the Carabinieri. At the center of the investigation is now a very specific geographic perimeter: the Spanish Quarter.

According to rumors gathered in investigative circles, the "paranza" responsible for the robbery was made up of criminal professionals, whose distinctive traits emerged clearly during the two hours of forced confinement inside the premises.

The behavioral identikit and the “Plan B”

The sketchy information provided by the 25 hostages proved crucial. The commando, acting with a coolness that belies extensive preparation, unwittingly provided valuable information: dialect inflections, body type, and, above all, a specific "code of conduct." The criminals focused exclusively on the safety deposit boxes, ignoring the hostages' jewelry and cash and avoiding the ATMs.

However, an unexpected event altered the group's plans. The massive presence of the public inside the branch and the quick thinking of one of the hostages—who managed to hide a smartphone by promptly calling 112—forced the commando to speed up the process.

Faced with an immediate response from the police, the robbers activated a pre-planned "Plan B": escape through an underground tunnel, cleverly hidden under a heavy piece of furniture on the bank floor.

The intervention of the GIS and the inspection by Prosecutor Gratteri

While the perimeter was being secured, Naples Chief Prosecutor Nicola Gratteri arrived on site to personally coordinate the delicate phases of the operation. At 16:30 PM, as per protocol for high-risk situations, the GIS (Special Intervention Group) arrived from Livorno.

Although the bandits had already fled, the special forces' raid was necessary to secure the area and clear the premises of any remaining threats. Some loud noises heard during the raid were attributed to tactical maneuvers to quickly open the access routes.

Fortunately, the health toll remained limited: three people suffered minor illnesses related to the emotional shock, receiving immediate assistance from 118 paramedics, but no one suffered physical injuries.

Biological traces and investigations into the "mole"

Forensic specialists are now examining the car used by the group, a dark-colored Alfa Romeo Giulietta. The investigation is aimed at identifying fingerprints or biological traces that could provide scientific support for the identikit drawn up by investigators and social media analysis.

The possibility of internal complicity or a leak of sensitive information regarding the building's layout and the vulnerability of the subsoil also remains a possibility. The value of the loot, stolen from the clients' private vaults, remains unclear, but the precision of the attack suggests significant financial damage.

I read the article with interest, but the information is confusing: the 'paranza' seem to be professionals, but the details don't add up; was the underground tunnel already known? The Spanish Quarter is poorly described; the car is a dark Alfa Romeo Giuljeta; biological traces are being examined, but no confirmation is available; I hope the prosecutor's office and the police are doing their job properly.
