Two people were arrested by the State Police in the early hours of the afternoon pursuant to a precautionary custody order issued by the investigating judge of the Court of Naples North. The order follows an investigation conducted by investigators from the Frattamaggiore Police Station, coordinated by the Naples North Prosecutor's Office. The investigation began after the arrest in flagrante delicto of one of the two suspects, who was held responsible, along with an initially unidentified accomplice, for insulting and resisting a public official, as well as for damaging state property.
In particular, the man had been stopped after ramming a State Police car in an attempt to avoid checks.
Subsequent investigations allowed investigators to identify the alleged accomplice and reconstruct further criminal incidents allegedly committed by the couple. According to the investigations, the two were involved in several robberies targeting businesses in the area.
The proceedings are currently in the preliminary investigation phase and the responsibility of the suspects will have to be ascertained during the trial.
