After the two-day robbery at the Crédit Agricole branch in Piazza Medaglie d'Oro in Naples' Vomero district, a typical Neapolitan rush for lottery numbers immediately spread across social media. A video by writer Claudio Canzanella went viral on TikTok, suggesting a "dedicated" three-number draw for the event: 16 (the day of the robbery), 25 (the number of people held hostage inside the bank), and 46 (the number that in Neapolitan smorfia symbolizes money, and therefore indirectly the robbery).

Other users instead suggested alternative combinations: 40 (the jewels), 90 (fear) and 79 (the thieves). As often happens in Naples, however, the incident has generated above all irony and good humor.

On "La Pennicanza" on Rai Radio2, Rosario Fiorello commented in his unmistakable style: "Luckily, no one got hurt. It happened in Naples, which remains the most imaginative city in the world: there was a crowd in front of the bank, and someone with a megaphone shouted, 'See you in Poggioreale!' A legend!"

During the same broadcast, Fabrizio Biggio, speaking from Naples, collected the amusing testimony of the "fake" Sal Da Vinci: "I had three safe deposit boxes in that bank... in the first I kept two wedding rings, in the second the Sanremo Music Award... and in the third I kept my bow ties and spare eyebrows!" A classic example of how Neapolitan creativity and irony can transform even a news story into a moment of collective levity.

This is news that makes you think, but I don't know if the reaction of the people in Naples is normal. It seems like everything becomes a show and people laugh, but I have many doubts about the safety and the truth. People talk as if no one is involved and they count three numbers and make faces. It seems like an exaggeration and sometimes it leads to false cheerfulness.
