On the ground, officers from the Vasto-Arenaccia Police Station worked alongside the Carabinieri, Guardia di Finanza, Local Police, and ASL NA1 staff. The operation resulted in 45 individuals being identified, 16 of whom had criminal or police records. Thirty-three vehicles were also inspected: two were seized, while 11 traffic violations were reported and three driving licenses were revoked.
Attention was also focused on a local business. Inspections revealed serious irregularities regarding HACCP, the standards that guarantee food safety and hygiene. The owner was fined €3.000. But it didn't end there: due to the appalling hygiene and sanitation conditions, the business was suspended and the operators seized 200 kilograms of food products, deemed unfit for consumption.
