Salerno – The Salerno Financial Police raided members of the Fezza-De Vivo clan for drug trafficking and seized assets.

The Guardia di Finanza (Financial Police) officers of the Salerno Provincial Command, with the support of the Central Organized Crime Investigation Service (SCICO) and other units of the Corps, under the coordination of the Salerno District Anti-Mafia Directorate, executed a precautionary measure order issued by the preliminary investigations judge of the Salerno Court against eight individuals accused of being part of a criminal conspiracy aimed at drug trafficking.

Blitz in the provinces of Salerno, Avellino, Caserta and Latina

The operation, which involved the provinces of Salerno, Avellino, Naples, Caserta, and Latina, is the result of a complex and detailed investigative activity conducted by the Salerno PEF Unit (GICO - GOA Section), launched in May 2025. The operation, described in a note signed by the Public Prosecutor of Salerno, Raffaele Cantone, made it possible to dismantle a criminal group in the provinces of Salerno and Avellino, with ramifications nationally and internationally and links to criminal circles linked to the Fezza-De Vivo clan of the Nocera-Sarnese area.

The investigations, carried out using cutting-edge techniques, allowed the roles and responsibilities of the participants to be identified, numerous illicit trafficking operations to be documented, and large quantities of narcotics to be seized, including over half a ton of hashish, cocaine, and methamphetamine. Several members were also arrested in flagrante delicto.

Drug seizures worth over 780 euros

The investigations concluded that illicit profits from drug trafficking amounted to over €780. Subsequent asset checks identified assets and financial resources attributable to the suspects, which were seized. Concurrent with the execution of the personal precautionary measures, personal and home searches are underway for 10 additional suspects.

It seems like a major operation, but the details remain hazy, sources don't always speak clearly; the numbers are largely rounded, the investigation has shown ramifications across multiple regions, but the connections remain unproven, and the seized assets don't match the figures. Further clarification and investigation are needed.
