Naples – Officers from the Flying Squad have executed a precautionary detention order issued by the Naples Prosecutor's Office against a 58-year-old man under investigation for aggravated sexual assault.
The precautionary measure was triggered by a complaint filed by the parents of a minor, who reported alleged abuse. The investigative activities, conducted by the Naples Flying Squad under the coordination of the Public Prosecutor's Office – IV Investigations Section "Gender-Based Violence and Protection of Vulnerable Groups of the Population" – led to the emergence of serious evidence against the suspect.
According to investigators' reconstruction, the man, a former coach at a Neapolitan football school, allegedly abused one of his students, under the age of fourteen, inside the premises of the sports center attended by the minor.
The suspect was already under precautionary measures for similar crimes. The investigation also revealed that the 58-year-old had previously been investigated and convicted by judicial authorities for aggravated sexual assault, child pornography, and possession of illicit material, in relation to incidents that occurred at the same school and to the detriment of another minor victim.
