[2.24pm, 04/05/2026] Giuseppe Cronache: The Carabinieri of the Operational and Radiomobile Unit of the Battipaglia company have executed an order for personal precautionary measures against four individuals suspected of having participated in an episode of armed violence that occurred on 29 June 2025 in Pontecagnano Faiano, in the province of Salerno.
According to investigators' reconstruction, the victim—a security guard employed at a local nightclub—was hit by gunshots in the left arm, sustaining injuries that required medical attention.
The investigation, coordinated by the Salerno Public Prosecutor's Office, led to the identification of the alleged perpetrators. Two of them were placed under house arrest, a third was ordered to remain in his municipality of residence, and the fourth must appear periodically before the judicial police. The charges filed, to varying degrees, include attempted aggravated murder, aggravated assault in conspiracy, and illegal possession and possession of weapons in conspiracy.
The arrests were carried out in the areas of Fuorni (Salerno), Torre Annunziata, Pompei, and Gragnano, all in the province of Naples, thanks to the collaboration between local law enforcement and the Carabinieri investigative unit.
