The operation was launched in the city center as part of a targeted field inspection. Within the premises, the Carabinieri discovered a business dedicated to the repair and management of electric bicycles, conducted in a manner completely inconsistent with current regulations. During structural inspections, law enforcement officers discovered an accumulation of hazardous and special waste resulting from the maintenance of eco-friendly vehicles, stored and managed without any compliance with environmental disposal regulations. Immediate investigations led to the direct responsibility for managing the business being attributed to a sixty-one-year-old man residing in the Caserta municipality.

Following the serious irregularities found during the inspection, the man was reported at large to the Judicial Authority and will face charges of unauthorized waste management. Along with the indictment, the Carabinieri They proceeded with the precautionary seizure of the entire affected area, covering approximately thirty square meters, also sealing off twenty electric bicycles, including pedal-assisted bicycles and scooters, found inside the illegal structure and believed to be directly related to the illegal activity. The Carabinieri are now continuing their investigation to verify any further responsibilities and to precisely determine the provenance of all the materials found during the nighttime check.

This seems like important news, but I'm not sure about everything. The Carabinieri found the illegal workshop operating without a permit and handling hazardous waste. I don't know if the authorities have yet established responsibility. The bikes and scooters have been seized, but too many unanswered questions and doubts remain.
