The beating heart of Southern Italy captivates national institutions on a day dedicated to merit and territorial development. In the prestigious setting of the Aldo Moro Hall in the Chamber of Deputies, the Commission Conifa of the Southern Development Parliamentary Intergroup, led by Massimo Amitrano, celebrated Southern talent by awarding individuals who have distinguished themselves for their extraordinary impact on the region.
The important institutional event, chaired by MP Alessandro Caramiello, also saw the participation of the Honorable Pasqualino Penza. The initiative benefited from the strong organizational contribution of the President of the Commission Opera, Tommaso Scattolari, and during the ceremony the same Cultural Bridges commission also wished to present a special award to the Honorable Caramiello for his constant commitment to Southern Italy.

The solid recognition for local administrators went instead to Giosi Ferrandino, Mayor of Casamicciola Terme and former MEP, celebrated as one of the best mayors Italyfor the professionalism and resilience demonstrated in leading the community of Ischia in the aftermath of the tragic natural disasters.
The institutions also wanted to shine a spotlight on entrepreneurial skills, science, and the new frontiers of entertainment. The world of culture and entertainment saw the triumph of Maurizio Luise and Alessandro Serafini of Angels of Love, the historic artistic collective and global clubbing icon that has successfully combined music with environmental sustainability and support for the most vulnerable.
In the scientific field, Dr. Michele de Paulis was recognized as a young pillar of Neapolitan surgery. In the area of economic development, the award was presented to entrepreneur Pasquale Lampugnale, a prominent figure in the industrial landscape, for his ongoing and professional contribution to strengthening Campania's manufacturing base.
Finally, the prestigious award united Luca Antonio Pepe, the entrepreneur Daria Illy and the famous economist and president of the intergroup technical table Giovanni Barretta, celebrated for their extraordinary contribution to the promotion of quality, innovation and culture. It seems to me like a good initiative for the South, but there are some points that remain overlooked, the institutions talk a lot, the prizes go to many well-known people and figures, but the young entrepreneurs and the local community were not well represented, furthermore the communication was a bit chaotic and sad.
