It reads: “Following the tragic death of Ms. Immacolata Panico on May 31 and the subsequent discovery of her lifeless body the following day, numerous offensive and denigrating comments were published, especially on social networks and online information platforms, which seriously undermined the dignity of the deceased and the serenity of her family.

Such conduct, in addition to being morally reprehensible at a time of profound grief for the family, may constitute significant civil and criminal offences.

For this reason, the Panico family, through its lawyer, is collecting and preserving all information useful for identifying the authors of the offensive and defamatory comments already published. They reserve the right to take all appropriate legal action against those responsible, to protect the honor, reputation, and memory of Mrs. Immacolata Panico, as well as the dignity of her relatives.

This press release formally warns anyone against continuing to publish, disseminate, or share any content that is offensive, insulting, defamatory, or otherwise likely to harm the memory of the deceased and the sensibilities of her family. Any further conduct of this nature will be promptly reported to the competent authorities and prosecuted in the appropriate venues.

We trust in the sense of responsibility of users and information operators to ensure that the public debate takes place with respect for the truth, the dignity of the person, and the grief of the families involved.

I'm deeply saddened by the news about the lady. The family is in dire straits, and the situation is incredibly delicate. Social media has posted things that shouldn't be posted. People are speaking without proof, and the justice system will have to intervene to protect her memory and honor. We hope everything is resolved with respect.
