The weapon of the Carabinieri Raises a wall to defend legality and public safety on the islands in the Gulf of Naples. It was a day of intense operational activity for the Ischia Company's military personnel, engaged in a comprehensive extraordinary territorial control operation that thoroughly combed the various municipalities of the green island. Patrols patrolled the main roads and key landing points, recording a final tally of 132 identified persons and 76 vehicles checked, with three individuals reported at large to the judicial authorities.

The first significant intervention took place on the arrival dock for tourists and commuters, where the police remain extremely vigilant. During security checks at the ferry landing, a thirty-seven-year-old man was stopped and searched by the Carabinieri. The search revealed that the man was concealing a knife with a blade approximately six and a half centimeters long, carefully hidden inside a purse, prompting immediate referral.

Law enforcement also had to intervene urgently to restore calm in the municipality of Serrara Fontana, where moments of high tension were occurring. In the town's main square, a fifty-six-year-old woman, already well known to law enforcement and clearly impaired by alcohol, was disrupting and verbally abusing terrified passersby. Upon seeing their uniforms, the fifty-six-year-old also directed her fury at the officers, a behavior that will result in her being charged with insulting a public official and drunkenness.

The latest front of action concerned the protection of the island's landscape, threatened by illegal construction. The Carabinieri, working closely with technical staff from the Municipality of Ischia, conducted a building inspection that caught the owner of a property. During the inspection, they discovered extensive unauthorized construction, consisting of the excavation of an area adjacent to an existing building and the complete removal of the dense vegetation. The woman was subsequently charged and will be charged with the destruction or defacement of natural beauty and construction without authorization.

It seems like a necessary intervention, but it's been described too dryly. The numbers are numerous, and perhaps they need to be explained better. The Carabinieri did their job, but the drunk woman could have received different help, and the issue of illegal building seems complex. More dialogue with the municipality is needed, not just fines, inspections, and immediate reports.
