Naples– Today the Trasnova workers gathered in front of the headquarters of the Department of Productive Activities of the Campania Region, located in Centro Direzionale of Naples. The protest coincided with a meeting convened by the Region with the companies SIA and Napoli Uno, involved in the dispute.
Representatives of the Fiom-Cgil Naples, Mauro Cristiani and Mario Di Costanzo, reiterated the need to find concrete and implementable solutions before the current extraordinary redundancy fund expires. "Social safety nets must be a tool to guide workers toward a stable future," they stated.
It is essential that the industrial plans of the companies involved include the absorption of all personnel, an effective employment plan, and investments in the Campania region.”
FIOM emphasized that jobs remain the priority, seen as essential to workers' dignity. The mobilization will continue until concrete answers are provided regarding the employment prospects of Trasnova and its employees.

The demonstration seems justified, but I hope the institutions aren't just talking and making promises. Trasnova workers need concrete plans and real commitments, not just words; if solutions aren't forthcoming, many will be left without jobs, and the situation won't be resolved.
