The Carabinieri of the Sorrento Company carried out widespread checks and searches in Vico EquenseDuring the operation, Michele Ferraro, 43, a resident of the town and already known to the police, was arrested.
During the search of the man's home, the officers found and seized a revolver with the serial number erased.
The gun was loaded with two rounds and will now be subjected to ballistic tests to verify its possible use in previous crimes or other offences. Ferraro, born in Vico Equense on August 15, 1982, he is currently in prison.
