There is a testimony considered decisive by investigators behind the rapid development of the investigations into the murder of Salvatore Solimeno, the 46-year-old killed on Friday afternoon in Boscotrecase at the height of a neighborhood dispute that degenerated into tragedy.
A woman, despite the alleged threats she received immediately after the crime, reportedly found the courage to tell the police what she saw. Her statement, acquired as part of the investigation coordinated by the Torre Annunziata Prosecutor's Office, contributed significantly to the identification of the two alleged perpetrators.
According to reports, after the murder, the two men allegedly warned the witness not to tell investigators: "Mind your own business, you have to keep quiet." This attempt, however, did not prevent the woman from cooperating with investigators.
The two arrested and the confession
By order of the Torre Annunziata Public Prosecutor's Office, led by Chief Prosecutor Nunzio Fragliasso, with the coordination of Deputy Prosecutor Emilio Prisco, the Carabinieri executed two arrest warrants against Fulvio Titas, 33, and Antonio Guastafierro, 27.
The turning point came just over twenty-four hours after the murder that shocked the community of Boscotrecase and the entire Vesuvian area.
Antonio Guastafierro reportedly admitted his guilt, declaring that he was the one who fired the gun. However, the confession alone isn't enough to close the investigation. Technical and scientific tests will determine with certainty who pulled the trigger.
The killer mystery: the stub examination is decisive
One of the most delicate aspects of the investigation concerns the identification of the actual perpetrator of the shooting.
Initial investigations have revealed the presence of gunpowder residue on both Antonio Guastafierro's and Fulvio Titas's hands. This makes further investigation necessary.

According to investigators' reconstruction, everything arose from a trivial condominium dispute over the deposit of some garbage bags in a garage located between Via Promiscua and Corso Umberto I, in the area where the victim lived.
A heated argument had reportedly broken out between the wives of the families involved in the incident that morning. The tension seemed to have eased, but by the afternoon the situation escalated to a deadly conclusion.
The ambush and the wife's courage
After being hit by gunfire, Salvatore Solimeno reportedly made a desperate attempt to reach his home to save himself.
According to investigators, the two attackers chased him with the intention of completing their attack. Even more serious consequences were prevented by the courageous intervention of the victim's wife, who placed herself between her injured husband and the attackers, forcing them to retreat.
The seized weapon and the investigations
During the searches, the Carabinieri seized a 9mm pistol with a scratched-off serial number, believed to be compatible with the one used in the crime. They also seized four unfired rounds, three spent shell casings, and the cell phones of the two arrested men.
Among the investigative leads is one relating to the availability of the weapon, which according to one hypothesis could have been in the possession of Fulvio Titas, recently released from a period of house arrest.
The ongoing ballistic and technical tests will now clarify every detail of the shooting and consolidate the evidentiary framework. Meanwhile, Salvatore Solimeno's body remains at the disposal of the judicial authorities for forensic examinations, while the two suspects have been transferred to prison.
