The goal is to stop a reform that, according to organizers, poses a serious risk to wildlife, biodiversity, and human safety, as well as an attack on the constitutional principles of environmental and animal protection. The associations emphasize that the Hunting Bill infringes on fundamental rights and fails to comply with the European framework and international conventions on environmental protection.
The sit-in is intended as a moment of strong popular opposition to a measure that risks exposing forests, countryside, and natural areas to unsustainable hunting pressure. Campania, therefore, stands with nature and invites all citizens to unite to defend their lands and wildlife.
I partially agree, but I also think certain claims should be verified with independent studies, not just slogans; countryside should be protected, and local interests should be balanced with wildlife protection, without oversimplifying the issues.
