A young patient admitted following a delicate surgical procedure died this morning in the intensive care unit of Cardarelli Hospital in Naples. The hospital announced the news, issuing an official statement expressing its condolences and sympathy to the woman's family.
According to the hospital, the patient underwent a first operation on June 29th. Following the onset of post-operative complications, doctors decided to proceed with a second surgery in an attempt to address the worsening clinical condition.
Despite the new intervention and the efforts of the medical team, the young woman died a few hours later, while hospitalized in the intensive care unit.
