Scampia – Yesterday evening, during a targeted operation against drug trafficking, officers from the Scampia Police Station arrested a 22-year-old man found in possession of over 10 kilograms of hashish. The young man, spotted riding a scooter in the Monterosa neighborhood, attempted to escape by suddenly accelerating, but was quickly stopped by officers.
104 blocks of hashish were found in the underseat compartment of the vehicle, for a total weight of more than 10 kilograms.
The investigation continued with a house search, which uncovered further evidence against the arrested man: approximately 7 grams of hashish, two precision scales, and equipment for growing and packaging drugs were found in his home, including a grow tent, a fan, a gas mask, LED lamps, acidity meters, and bags of marijuana seeds and fertilizer. The man was subsequently arrested on charges of possession with intent to distribute narcotics.
